Customer Data Integration Engineer (m/f/d)

As a Customer Data Integration Engineer, you own the technical and analytical onboarding of new customers. You work hands-on with real financial data to help customers experience the value of Flow using their own numbers and context.

You set up customer environments, deeply analyze and interpret financial data from ERP systems, banks, and planning tools, and translate this data into our agentic ledger. During pilot phases, you combine manual data work, analysis, and scripting to iteratively build repeatable ingestion pipelines. Over time, you turn one-off integrations into automated, reliable processes.

This is a customer-facing, forward-deployed engineering role across multiple customers. You stay involved beyond the pilot, supporting adoption and automation until data ingestion runs hands-off-the-wheel.

What you will do

  • Work directly with customers to analyze, interpret, and map financial data (ERP exports, bank statements, planning files) into our agentic data model.

  • Dive deep into numbers to understand data meaning, inconsistencies, patterns, and outliers, clarifying details together with customers.

  • Create data quality reports, visualizations, scripts, and automations that turn manual translation work into repeatable ingestion processes.

  • Support customers through onboarding, pilot, and adoption, helping transition from semi-manual ingestion to fully automated pipelines.

  • Set up and manage dedicated AWS environments per customer, including infrastructure, access boundaries, and deployment pipelines.

What we are looking for

  • Strong hands-on experience with Python and common data processing and analytics libraries, paired with the ability to deeply understand and work with messy, real-world data.

  • A hands-on, pragmatic mindset with the ability to make it happen in customer settings — collaborating with customer IT teams, setting up custom servers, data endpoints, or interfaces as needed.

  • Familiarity with financial systems and workflows (e.g. SAP S/4HANA, AP/AR, Treasury) is a plus. Comfortable translating financial data into meaningful, explainable structures.

  • Experience working with AWS, CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions), and infrastructure-as-code (e.g. CDK), including setting up and operating customer-specific environments.

  • Fluent German (spoken and written) is required, and this role is based in Munich or Heilbronn with 40%+ on-site presence and light travel to customer sites (~2 hotel nights per month).

What we offer

  • Help apply agentic AI to real-world financial problems, reshaping how finance teams operate and make decisions.

  • Work with a modern, evolving tech stack, where we continuously explore, evaluate, and adopt the best tools for the job - including an internal agent force.

  • Join an ambitious, collaborative team that values curiosity, ownership, and low ego over hierarchy.

  • Take a central, hands-on role in shaping how customers experience our product during a critical growth phase.

  • Grow with a product-first, early-stage startup, offering competitive compensation, equity, and long-term upside.

If that sounds like you, we’re looking forward to chatting with you!
